Landmark
Hallasan Mountain
09_한라산_(1).jpgMt. Hallasan is the highest mountain in Korea with a height of 6,388 feet. It is steep in the south, gentle in the north, and relatively high and flat in the east and west. And at the top of the mountain is Baeknokdam. There is a legend that a hermit riding a white deer came down to Baeknokdam to drink water, and there is also a legend that it is a place where fairies come down to play. There are about 360 parasitic volcanoes distributed around Halla Mountain.

Seongsan Ilchulbong
10_성산일출봉_(1).jpgThe name ‘Seongsan Ilchulbong’ refers to a mountain that sits like a huge castle on the eastern coast of Jeju Island. It was named ‘Seongsan Ilchulbong’ because the sunrise seen from here is the best in Jeju Island. Seongsan Ilchulbong is a volcanic island that was formed by an explosion in the sea about 5,000 years ago. When it was formed, it was an island separated from the mainland, but over time, sand and stones accumulated and became connected to the mainland.

OSULLOC TEA MUSEUM
오설록다시.jpgOsulloc Tea Museum, which opened in September 2001, is a museum displaying domestic and foreign tea-related items and is located at the entrance to Seogwang Tea Garden on Jeju Island, near the field where green tea trees are spread out. It is a cultural space and nature-friendly relaxation space that harmonizes Eastern and Western traditions and modernity. The entire building is shaped like a cup of green tee. This is a space learning Korea's traditional tea culture and having experiences about everything of Sulloc tea.

Currency
The unit of Korean currency is the Won (₩). Coin denominations are ₩10, ₩50, ₩100, and ₩500. Banknotes are ₩1,000, ₩5,000, ₩10,000, and ₩50,000.

In Korea, a 10% VAT is indirectly added to the price of many of your purchases. At stores that display a “Tax Free” sign, foreigners are eligible for a tax refund on purchases greater than 30,000 won. To receive your refund, you must follow these steps:

Purchase merchandise with a total value greater than 30,000 won at a store displaying the “Tax Free” sign.
Show your passport and ask for a refund check during checkout.
Present your passport, refund check, receipt, and the purchased merchandise unopened at airport customs when leaving the country.
